Welcome to Tally Hills Terriers and the hills of north Florida. That's right, hills in Florida! This is plantation country-rolling hills and large live oaks. Monticello is a small town on the FL/GA border. Home to over 50 plantations. It has been a beautiful area to raise children & terriers. Our lives have always included horses and dogs. Fox hunting gave me the opportunity to enjoy both. That gave way to my oldest daughter's love for the hunter/jumper world. At all the large horse barns, we met the Jack Russell-little ratters. My introduction to the world of russell terriers goes back many years to my grandmother's dog, a bitch named Trippy. She was a tan & white scruffy (or rough coat as we now call them) terrier who was totally devoted to my grandmother and in true jack russell fashion, not very tolerant of small grand children tugging on her ears. If you are interested in sharing your life with a Jack Russell Terrier, please take the time to go to the Jack Russell Terrier Club of America's website (JRTCA) and read and learn as much as you can about this incredible, tenacious, brave little terrier. They are not the breed for everyone but if bred with temperament in mind, don't necessarily have to live on a farm but because of their inherent desire to hunt, you must have things for them to do. Jack Russell Terrier's do bond deeply to their families and time must be spent playing and just enjoying time with them.
